Folks,
The problem that seems to afflict every work-bound LJ user sooner or later has hit the City of Village Charm: my journal has suddenly become popular viewing at work.
Consequently, I'm going to go off the grid for a little while. I've locked all my previous posts, and when I do start posting again, sometime in the future, it will be friends only. I know there are a number of people out there who read my journal but who don't have livejournals of their own, and that kind of sucks, but that's the way it has to be, at least for the forseeable future.
Courage,
Dan Rather
p.s.
The journal still rages on, but is friends only. If you would like to be added, or if you would like to read the thing I wrote about Lance Hahn, leave a comment.

Date: 2007-10-23 08:35 pm (UTC)I really enjoyed your post about Lance. I didn't know him. I met him once, exchanged a few letters and e-mails over the years, but his songs always made him seem like an old friend. Your post brought that home, also his love of San Francisco. Again, a city I've never been to, but I feel like I know it the way I know Chandler's Los Angeles because of J Church songs. Reading your post at work, I was actually tearing up a little.
